Carrie Marie is the dyer behind Summit & Skein Stitchcraft.  Originally from California, she calls Southeast Alaska home these days and is inspired by the colors of nature surrounding her in her rainforest home. After a dye class in 2020, Carrie started seeing everything in terms of yarn colorways, and soon Summit & Skein was born.  Summit & Skein launched its first collection in the summer of 2024. 

When she's not dyeing yarn, Carrie works full time as a paralegal and has a rich home life with a wonderful (engineering genius) husband, three stepchildren, and three small dogs with wildly big personalities. 

Summit & Skein is driven by a desire to delivery quality hand-dyed, ethically produced yarn.  We are dedicated about choosing our suppliers to reflect the values we feel are important in the treatment of the animals whose wool we source, as well as the many people in the production of these yarns along the way.
