Cedar Heart is a golden yellow-brown, with layers of darker red and purple browns.
The Tongass National Forest is mostly comprised of western red cedar, spruce, and hemlock. The variety of browns we see in the bark of these trees is so varied! Cedar Heart takes its cue from the spectrum of colors of a cedar stump, rain-soaked and beginning to decay and return to the land, nourishing more growth.
