Urchin

Urchin is a deep red with burgundy undertones, reminiscent of the deep red jeweled shades of these prickly sea creatures.  I have a favorite tide pooling spot here on the island. There are always some amazing things to see, but at a particularly good minus tide, this little spot opens like as if it’s a jewel box brimming with rubies and garnets. I’m always excited to see urchins, but this whole bed of them together is always a thrill to see!
